Bugatti, the legendary French automobile manufacturer, has long been synonymous with luxury, performance, and unparalleled craftsmanship. Founded in 1909 by the visionary Italian-born French automobile designer Ettore Bugatti, the brand quickly established itself as a producer of high-performance vehicles that were as much works of art as they were feats of engineering. Models like the Type 35 Grand Prix car and the Type 57SC Atlantic have become icons in automotive history, celebrated for their design elegance and racing prowess.

In a nod to this rich heritage, Bugatti has unveiled a one-of-a-kind creation: the Bugatti Baby II, crafted in collaboration with Hedley Studios (formerly The Little Car Company) and Bugatti’s Manager of Sur Mesure and Individualisation, Jascha Straub. This bespoke vehicle is a modern tribute to the brand’s storied past, reimagining the iconic Type 35 in a three-quarter-scale electric version.

The Bugatti Baby II is finished in a striking duo-tone of ‘Nocturne’ black and ‘Giallo Midas’ yellow, a color scheme personally favored by Ettore Bugatti and featured on legendary models such as the Type 57 Grand Raid Usine. The interior is adorned with black leather from ‘Bridge of Weir,’ reflecting Bugatti’s commitment to luxury and attention to detail.

What sets this particular Bugatti Baby II apart are the intricate, hand-drawn sketches by Jascha Straub, etched onto the body panels. These illustrations depict key moments and figures from Bugatti’s history, including the Château Saint Jean, Ettore and Jean Bugatti, and their famed racing machines. These artistic elements are preserved under a clear coat, making the vehicle a drivable work of art that pays homage to the brand’s legacy.

By blending historical elements with modern craftsmanship, the Bugatti Baby II stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of a marque that continues to define automotive excellence.
