Riva has launched a 54 Metri measuring 177 feet, its largest build so far. The all‑aluminum superyacht spans four decks and carries the brand’s sharp bow and sculpted stern into a new size class.
Design and exterior
Created by Officina Italiana Design with Ferretti Group input, the 54 Metri keeps Riva’s low, athletic profile but scales the surfaces for a broader 28‑foot beam. The first hull pairs Moon Gray and London Gray with Bright Black and polished steel, so the sheerline reads clean while metallic accents catch the light at the rail. Fold‑out terraces at the beach club and main‑deck cockpit expand the footprint at anchor, turning hard hull sides into water‑level platforms.
On deck experience
A transformer platform and extra‑wide passerelle lead to a beach area anchored by a 16‑foot pool and sunbeds. Five shallow steps bring you to an outdoor lounge with a long sofa, armchairs, and a bar. Forward, two large sun pads integrate a hinge system that lifts to access tenders and toys stored beneath, keeping the foredeck visually uncluttered.
Interior and accommodation
The lift amidships connects lower, main, and upper decks, easing circulation across spaces finished in marble, natural teak, and leather. Up to 10 guests sleep in four cabins, with the primary suite forward on the main deck. Crew accommodations comprise five double cabins plus a captain’s cabin for a total of up to 11, separated to maintain service flow and privacy.
Systems and performance
Under 500 GT, the 54 Metri is built in aluminum and delivered with twin MTU diesels rated at 1,920 hp each. The standard engine fit is twin MTUs at 1,700 hp. The bridge is specified with dual X‑band radars, a Starlink antenna, full ECDIS, three 27‑inch touchscreens, and a 44‑inch stretch monitor, consolidating navigation and ship systems on a clear, glare‑resistant console.
Context and relevance
Founded by Pietro Riva on Lake Iseo in 1842, the shipyard has spent three decades refining its language with Officina Italiana Design. The 54 Metri extends that vocabulary into the sub‑500 GT superyacht space and precedes additional hulls slated for 2026 and 2027. A longer 70 Metri is in development.
For now, the 54 Metri sets the top end of Riva’s range by length and volume.
