For Charles Leclerc, Scuderia Ferrari has become a second family. The 28-year-old driver described his relationship with the team in deeply personal terms following the announcement of a new multi-year agreement that will keep him racing in red for the coming seasons.
“It’s the team I’ve loved and dreamt of being part of since I was a child,” Leclerc stated. His new contract marks the latest chapter in a story that began long before his debut with the main team in 2019. The journey started with the Ferrari driver academy back in 2016, followed by a Formula 2 title in 2017 and a season with Sauber in 2018.
Vasseur pointed to Leclerc’s talent and determination as key factors, along with the way he approaches his work with the Scuderia, “both on and off the track.” The shared ambition is the foundation of the continued partnership.
