The unveiling took place at Bombardier’s Aviator Lounge in Monaco, during the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The project brought together the engineering of the Global 8000 aircraft with the design expertise of fashion house ELIE SAAB.
The collaboration is a first of its kind, applying a haute couture philosophy to the interior of a business jet. For Bombardier, the goal was to create a new expression of private aviation. The Global 8000 is described as the world's fastest business jet, and this project sought to redefine its onboard experience.
A Meeting of Two Worlds
The partnership represents an alignment between two brands serving a global clientele. Éric Martel, President and CEO of Bombardier, noted that the timing allowed for a deeper exploration of the cabin's potential.
“When we began discussions with ELIE SAAB, the Global 8000 was already well on the path to becoming a certified, operational aircraft,” Martel said. “This allowed us to go beyond concepts and rethink the cabin as a true living space, while fully respecting the performance and operational realities of the aircraft.”
For ELIE SAAB, a house founded in Lebanon in 1982, the move into aviation was an intuitive one. The brand's creative universe already extends into interiors and furniture design. Elie Saab Jr., the company’s CEO, framed the project as an extension of the brand's world.
“With Bombardier, we approached this collaboration with an haute couture mindset, elevating every material and detail into a carefully curated expression of luxury, precision and design excellence,” he explained.
