Heesen’s Project Ananda Answers One Question: How Should a Yacht Make You Feel?

Heesen’s Project Ananda Answers One Question: How Should a Yacht Make You Feel?

A shell door opens at the yacht’s midpoint, transforming into a private boarding platform. From here, a glass elevator and a central staircase offer a direct route to the heart of the vessel. Guests arriving on Project Ananda are not led through busy social areas. They are welcomed into a calm, carefully choreographed space, a first indication of the yacht’s guiding philosophy.

The 72-metre motoryacht is a collaboration between Heesen Yachts and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Its name, Ananda, comes from a Sanskrit word for ultimate bliss or supreme joy. The entire project was conceived to create moments of calm, clarity, and connection at sea.

    An Interior Guided by Flow

Inside, the layout is guided by three principles: connection to the sea, fluid movement, and layered privacy. Sinot’s interior concept is built on the themes of Serene, Nature, and Architecture. Spaces are finished in soft neutral tones, with curved partitions and diffused lighting creating a visually calm and balanced atmosphere.

Materials like light oak, textured woods, and delicately veined stone introduce tactile richness. Refined metal finishes add structure and precision. Full-height windows and vertical voids connecting the Main and Upper Deck lounges dissolve the boundary between inside and out.

The lower deck Spa is positioned amidships, serving as the emotional centre of the vessel. It offers a hammam, sauna, massage room, and relaxation spaces, all separated from the more active social zones. This sense of privacy extends to the accommodations. The Owner’s Deck was conceived as a private apartment, while a VIP suite on the Bridge Deck rivals it in both scale and quality, reflecting evolving patterns of yacht charter and use.

Ultimately, Project Ananda is defined by the experience it creates. Exercising on the wellness-focused Sun Deck at sunset. The effortless movement between open social spaces. The quiet that comes when the yacht cruises under hybrid power, with only the sound of the sea for company.
