For more than three decades, Jacob Arabo has turned craftsmanship into spectacle through his work in watches and high jewelry. Now, that same vision lives in a new form: architecture.
Aureum Estate by Jacob & Co, unveiled in Dubai Hills, is a $150 million private residence that redefines what a home can be. Designed as a “livable work of art,” it captures the precision and drama that have long defined Arabo’s creations. Every decision reflects intent. Every surface tells a story.
The estate spans nearly 42,000 square feet across three levels. It holds seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a series of spaces that balance grandeur with privacy. There is a private spa with hammam, ice room, and sauna. A cinema and gentleman’s lounge. A wine cellar, a tea room that honors local traditions, and an outdoor pool complete with DJ booth and catering access. Each space is meant to move effortlessly from quiet living to large-scale entertaining, a reflection of life in Dubai at its most refined.
Arabo has always worked with rare materials, and Aureum follows that same discipline. The marble, graded Triple-A, was sourced from a single quarry in Italy after a year-long wait. The onyx, once set aside for a Sotheby’s auction, now anchors the home’s Great Bar. Its surfaces are finished with metallic paints from leading European manufacturers, creating a quiet shimmer under light. Each chandelier, crafted by master makers in Italy and the Czech Republic, adds a touch of theater without excess.
The house also introduces several firsts for residential design in the Middle East. It includes an outdoor cooling system for year-round comfort, hospital-grade air filtration, and ultra-slim windows with integrated cooling and humidity drainage. A smart water recycling system purifies and reuses greywater for landscaped gardens. Security is managed by advanced motion detection, sensitive enough to distinguish the movement of a household pet.
To achieve this level of detail, Arabo assembled a global team of 14 designers and eight architects. Together they treated the project as a singular work rather than a construction. Each element, from the hand-installed façade to the sculptural rock features and bonsai installations, carries a sense of authorship. Even the furniture was created as one-of-one pieces, designed specifically for the space they occupy.
Set within Dubai Hills and overlooking the golf course, the estate sits 15 minutes from landmarks like the Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Opera. Its position captures the balance between serenity and access that defines the new generation of Dubai living. With limited land in this enclave, Aureum Estate represents something rare: a home built at the scale of an idea.
For Jacob Arabo, this project feels inevitable. His work has always been about control of form, proportion, and surprise. In Aureum, those values are translated into stone, glass, and light. The result is not a display of wealth but of imagination, a place where artistry and engineering share equal weight.
In a city that thrives on superlatives, Aureum Estate stands apart. It is not louder or taller, but more precise. It reflects a belief that true luxury is not about more, but about better. A house conceived as a complete idea, where every detail earns its place.
