Automobili Lamborghini has built its name on land, cars that roar down highways and carve through mountain passes with unmistakable presence. Now, the brand has turned seaward. In partnership with German marine specialist Cayago, it has unveiled the Seabob SE63, a high-performance water scooter designed to blend Lamborghini design language with Cayago’s engineering.
Collaborations like this always raise a question: where is the line between meaningful extension and mere gimmick? A watch or luggage collection usually fits the lifestyle of Lamborghini’s clientele. A water scooter, at first glance, might feel like a stretch.
But in truth, the marque has been testing these waters for some time. In 2020, they unveiled their first yacht, the Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63, built with The Italian Sea Group. That model found its way to high-profile owners, including Conor McGregor, who made headlines as one of its early buyers. In that context, the SEABOB SE63 is less of a wild departure and more of a continuation and recognition that many of their customers already spend as much time at sea as they do on the road.
The SEABOB itself is no frivolous toy. Cayago has positioned it as their most powerful model yet, with a newly developed motor, advanced battery architecture, and lightweight materials such as titanium, magnesium, and carbon fiber. Stability has been enhanced with a new wing system, and for those seeking still more control at speed, an optional Performance Board can be fitted.
Visually, Lamborghini’s fingerprints are unmistakable. Sharp edges and bold lines echo the cars, while paint finishes like Arancio Egon and Verde Gea are lifted straight from the factory in Sant’Agata. Even the start button borrows from the ritual of igniting the engine. Whether one sees that as charming or theatrical will likely depend on taste.
What remains is the larger question: does this strengthen Lamborghini’s brand or dilute it? For some, the it will represent a natural fit, another way to extend the thrill of it into a lifestyle already shaped by yachts and watersports. For others, it may feel indulgent, another luxury crossover with limited staying power.
The SE63 will make its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival this month, with production beginning in 2026. It is both playful and ambitious, a reminder that Lamborghini is increasingly comfortable living beyond the road.
