The GTS badge has always meant a more concentrated version of a Porsche, built with intent rather than excess. The new electric Macan GTS continues that theme with a darker, more deliberate look. Tinted Matrix LED headlights, black contrast elements and a slightly lower stance give it quiet distinction from across a car park.
The proportions are cohesive. Side skirts widen subtly toward the rear, the lower valance gains a diffuser-style finish and the taillights are smoked to match the front. Standard 21-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Grey fill the arches with balance. Those who prefer a stronger visual statement can option 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels.
Colour choices stay true to the GTS palette: Carmine Red, the returning Crayon and a new Lugano Blue. From early 2026, a Sport Design Package will be standard across the range, developed here specifically for the GTS.
Inside, the atmosphere is tactile and measured. Extended Race-Tex upholstery pairs with smooth black leather to create texture without excess. The GT steering wheel and 18-way sports seats look shaped for serious use rather than show, while the GTS Interior Package ties in colour accents through stitching, seatbelts and badging in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo or Lugano Blue.
Carbon trim remains available for those who prefer a technical finish. The digital cockpit mirrors the chosen exterior colour in its central display, and standard Sport Chrono functions bring lap timing and telemetry to the mix. Porsche notes that Race-Tex requires regular care to maintain its appearance, a small but realistic reminder of what the material demands.
The GTS makes its case through balance rather than headline figures. It produces up to 420 kW of overboost power and 955 Nm of torque, reaching 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and running on to 250 km/h. A rear-biased 48:52 weight distribution and sports air suspension with PASM set the tone, with the ride height sitting 10 millimetres lower than the standard electric Macan.
Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus and an electronically controlled rear differential are standard. Rear-axle steering is available to improve agility in tight spaces and stability at speed. Track mode, adapted from the Taycan, pre-conditions the battery to maintain consistent performance. Porsche’s Electric Sport Sound system offers two calibrated profiles in Sport and Sport Plus. The effect is engineered but intended to match the car’s purpose.
A 100 kWh battery provides up to 586 kilometres of WLTP range, depending on conditions and driving style. With a suitable high-power charger, a 10 to 80 percent charge takes around 21 minutes at a peak rate of 270 kW. The GTS can now tow up to 2,500 kilograms. New technology features include a Porsche Digital Key, upgraded parking assistance systems, an AI-based Voice Pilot and in-car gaming for downtime on longer stops.
This is the fifth electric Macan variant and the first to carry the GTS name. It does not pursue the highest output figures of the Turbo, instead focusing on feel, stance and response. In a segment filled with fast electric SUVs that rely on screens and power claims, the Macan GTS positions itself differently. Its appeal lies in steering precision, damping quality and a driving character that stays recognisably Porsche.
The Macan GTS Electric represents the driver’s choice within the range. Its numbers are strong, its stance deliberate and its execution consistent with what the GTS badge has long meant. If the Turbo defines the top of the line, the GTS defines the point of connection between performance and purpose.
