Pharrell Williams Strips Back Moët & Chandon’s Ice Impérial

Pharrell Williams Strips Back Moët & Chandon’s Ice Impérial

In 2010, Moët & Chandon created a champagne specifically to be poured over ice. It was a deliberate move, one that challenged the established codes of how champagne should be enjoyed. The blend, named Ice Impérial, was developed by Cellar Master Benoît Gouez with a clear purpose: to hold its intensity, freshness, and balance as the ice melts.

This summer, that story continues. The Maison has unveiled a new limited edition bottle for Ice Impérial, created in collaboration with Pharrell Williams. For the first time, the bottle sheds its traditional sleeve, revealing a new design that celebrates the cuvée and the feeling of summer.

The original concept from Gouez was a technical one. He engineered a champagne that would evolve in the glass, offering a consistent experience from the first sip to the last. This new collaboration with Williams builds on that foundation, exploring new ways to present the pioneering spirit of the Maison, which has been shaping its own path for more than 280 years.

    Summer on the Riviera

To ground the launch, Moët & Chandon has partnered with La Tarte Tropézienne. The collaboration features a series of exclusive pairings inspired by the French Riviera, designed to complement the cuvée’s notes of tropical fruit, citrus, and stone fruit. The recipes are meant to capture the relaxed elegance of summer by the sea.

    A New Signature Serve

Alongside the bottle, the Maison is introducing a new signature cocktail. Also imagined by Benoît Gouez, the Spicy Mangosé is a fresh interpretation of the cuvée designed for warm-weather occasions.

The drink combines Ice Impérial with mango, agave, and a subtle hint of chili. It’s a tangible expression of the freedom this particular champagne has always represented. The project is part of a wider creative effort at LVMH to highlight talent and culture.
