Range Rover Previews Its Electric Future at Wimbledon

Range Rover Previews Its Electric Future at Wimbledon

On the grounds of the All England Club, a Range Rover Electric will be displayed in metallic British Racing Green. The vehicle’s appearance is an early preview, scheduled ahead of order books opening later in 2026. This first look is part of a renewed, multi-year partnership between Range Rover and The All England Lawn Tennis Club, continuing the brand’s role as the Official Vehicle Partner of The Championships, Wimbledon.

The partnership brings together the tennis tournament and the British automotive brand, which describes the Range Rover Electric as delivering a new level of refinement through a serene cabin and effortless power. The decision to preview the brand’s first zero-tailpipe emissions vehicle at Wimbledon was described as a significant moment.

“Wimbledon represents the very best of British sporting culture, and our continued partnership reflects a shared commitment to leadership, sustainability and modern luxury,” a Range Rover spokesperson noted. “Previewing Range Rover Electric at The Championships is an opportunity to showcase the future of our brand in an environment that embodies prestige and tradition.”

    An Electric Fleet

Throughout The Championships, which run from Monday 29 June to Sunday 12 July 2026, a fleet of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport plug-in electric hybrid models will support players and officials. These vehicles are expected to maximize their electric range of up to 75 miles by using the All England Club’s on-site charging infrastructure.

This initiative aligns with Wimbledon’s own commitment to reduce emissions across its operations. The club’s charging network, powered by purchased renewable electricity, is designed to accommodate a growing number of hybrid and electric vehicles as it works toward a net-zero operational emissions target for 2030. The Indoor Tennis Centre features charging infrastructure powered entirely by purchased renewable electricity.

    A Shared Stage

The collaboration extends onto the tournament’s most visible stages. Range Rover branding will again feature on the 'speed of serve' displays on both Centre Court and No.1 Court. The brand, part of the Land Rover portfolio, is sold in 121 countries and has been inspired by exemplary design since 1970.

The Marketing & Commercial Director at the All England Club commented on the extended partnership. “We are delighted to extend our longstanding partnership with Range Rover as Official Vehicle of The Championships,” she stated. “The support from Range Rover allows us to showcase innovation, such as the early preview of Range Rover Electric, and offer the very best experience to players, officials and guests visiting The Championships.”
