Riva launched the first 96’ Argo Super in La Spezia on July 20, 2026, with Ferretti Group CEO Stassi Anastassov and the designers of Officina Italiana Design on the dock.
At 28.79 metres long with a maximum beam of 6.50 metres, the flybridge arrives with clean, sleek contours finished in an Aluminium livery with Bright Black details. It evolves the Riva 90’ Argo and pushes for more natural light, a more efficient layout and stronger indoor‑outdoor flow.
Riva’s aft and beach, rebuilt around the water
The aft and beach areas have been reworked to make time at anchor simpler and more social. A generous sunpad with a handrail and cup holders is now integrated into the garage door. Open it and the Williams 435 tender and a jet ski sit ready to launch.
The adjacent swim platform is fitted with a lift mechanism to ease water access and gear handling, turning the beach into a practical staging point. In the cockpit, added storage, a built‑in refrigerator and new adjustable backrests for two large sofas positioned lengthways beside the dining table refine daily use. Up on the flybridge, a new bar unit and mahogany‑topped tables set the tone for long afternoons.
Inside: light, layout and a day head
A day head now sits on the main deck. That single change unlocks space and flow across the boat. The salon is offered in two configurations. On this first yacht, the dining area is aft and the lounge is forward, so the main deck reads as one social space that connects to the cockpit with ease.
The full‑beam master suite carries expansive glazing, with furnishings arranged to pull in the view and natural light. The materials palette shifts toward brightness and texture. Polished wengé wood meets pale matt oak, with mirrored surfaces and polished steel detailing adding a contemporary note aligned to the yacht’s elegant and sporty character.
Relocating the day head to the main deck gives the lower level more room to breathe. In standard form, three guest cabins include a full‑beam VIP aft that uses the extra volume to deliver comfort and size comparable to a second master suite. An optional plan offers three VIP cabins plus a guest cabin with twin beds.
Power, systems and the next stop
Propulsion comes from two MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines, each producing 2,000 HP. On board, Seakeeper NG18 and NG10 gyroscopic stabilisers address roll at anchor and underway. Safety and handling support include the Watchit collision prevention system, Xenta’s X‑AID manoeuvring aid and virtual anchor system, plus a stern thruster.
Design responsibility is shared in the familiar trio. Officina Italiana Design worked with the Strategic Product Committee and Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department, the same approach that has guided Riva creations for the last thirty years. The La Spezia shipyard, where the yacht was launched, builds models from 70 to 130 feet.
The first 96’ Argo Super will make its official debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. Anastassov summed up the moment with a line that connects past and present: “History does not make a brand iconic. The courage to reinvent it, generation after generation, does. For more than 180 years, Riva has set the standard for timeless beauty on the water. The new Riva 96’ Argo Super carries that legacy forward with a yacht that is unmistakably Riva—more innovative, more liveable and more connected to the sea than ever before.”
