When a yacht is designed around a living tree rather than an engine room, you know the rules have changed. With the launch of 74Steel Virtuosity, Sanlorenzo has introduced one of the most ambitious custom superyachts ever created, proving that modern luxury is no longer defined by size alone, but by imagination.

At 73 metres in length and nearly 2,000 GT, Virtuosity is the second yacht built on Sanlorenzo's flagship 74Steel platform. While it shares its diesel electric architecture with the first hull, almost everything above the waterline has been reimagined through more than four years of collaboration between the owner, Sanlorenzo's Style Department and Studio Paolo Ferrari.
A Yacht Built Around Nature
The defining feature is impossible to miss. At the heart of the yacht stands a mature Ficus Nitida tree that rises through two decks via a large oval opening. Rather than adding greenery as decoration, Sanlorenzo designed the yacht around the tree itself, integrating irrigation, lighting and climate systems directly into the structure before construction even began.

Natural light pours through dedicated skylights, creating an interior that feels more like contemporary architecture than traditional yacht design.
The Ultimate Ocean Retreat
The lower deck introduces one of Virtuosity's most remarkable spaces. The beach club stretches across approximately 230 square metres, making it around forty percent larger than the original 74Steel configuration.

A 28 square metre glass bottom swimming pool floods the area with natural light, while the space transforms from a watersports hub during the day into an entertainment venue complete with a DJ station after sunset. Nearby, guests can unwind in a wellness area featuring a hammam, sauna, cryotherapy room and perhaps the yacht's most unusual feature, an underwater lounge where reinforced glass panels offer uninterrupted views beneath the surface.
A Private World Above Deck
The owner's private deck offers around 140 square metres of personal living space alongside a reflecting pool designed to mirror the surrounding sky rather than function as a traditional swimming pool. An aft cinema lounge creates a secluded retreat, while the redesigned sun deck houses a fully enclosed panoramic gym with floor to ceiling glazing, allowing guests to exercise while remaining connected to the sea.

Designed by Zuccon International Project, Virtuosity also introduces a sharper, more dynamic bow profile compared with the first 74Steel, giving the yacht a sportier and more contemporary appearance without losing Sanlorenzo's unmistakable elegance.

More than simply another flagship, Virtuosity represents a different way of thinking about life on board. It blends architecture, nature and engineering into a yacht that feels less like a floating palace and more like a carefully designed living environment. In a market where true originality is increasingly difficult to achieve, Sanlorenzo has delivered one of the most distinctive superyachts of the decade.
