In a striking tribute to Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, TAG Heuer has unveiled two new Formula 1 Chronograph Special Editions – modern evolutions of a partnership that helped define the golden age of motorsport. Combining advanced materials with design details inspired by Senna’s iconic helmet and racing legacy, the watches embody the enduring connection between precision, performance and passion.
The 44 mm automatic model is crafted from sandblasted Grade 2 titanium with a black DLC coating and powered by TAG Heuer’s Calibre 16 movement. It features a forged-carbon tachymeter bezel engraved with Senna’s signature “S” emblem, along with yellow and green details that echo the colours of Brazil and Senna’s own helmet. The watch is fitted with a bright yellow rubber strap, completing its bold, technical look and emphasizing its 200-meter water resistance.
The second model, a 43 mm quartz chronograph in stainless steel, offers a more accessible yet equally evocative design. It comes with the distinctive S-link bracelet – a hallmark of Senna’s own TAG Heuer watches from the late 1980s and early 1990s. The black dial mirrors the automatic version’s aesthetic, accented with subtle flashes of yellow and the Senna logo positioned at 12 o’clock.
Launched alongside the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix, the two new pieces commemorate Senna’s unforgettable 1991 victory at Interlagos – a race that cemented his place as both a national hero and one of the greatest drivers in Formula 1 history. Every element, from the forged-carbon bezel to the color palette, channels the precision and drive that defined his career.
