The Bugatti N1 Hides a 137-Inch Screen in Plain Sight

The Bugatti N1 Hides a 137-Inch Screen in Plain Sight

At the push of a button, a process begins. It takes 45 seconds to complete. What starts as a minimal, sculptural object unfolds with engineered precision, revealing a screen that measures up to 137 inches. This is the C SEED BUGATTI N1, a collaboration that translates a hyper sports car's design philosophy into a piece of kinetic architecture for the home.

Engineered and manufactured in Austria, the Bugatti N1 is the result of a partnership with C SEED. In its closed state, the unit presents as a refined sideboard. Its form is guided by the carmaker's principle of ‘Art, Forme, Technique’, with clean surfaces and balanced proportions. The design itself draws from the iconic ‘C-line’ that defines the side profile of Bugatti’s cars.

    Form and Function

The concept is directly inspired by the Bugatti Tourbillon and its ‘screen detox’ approach. The N1 is designed to integrate into a living space, interacting with light and architecture rather than imposing itself. Only when activated does it reveal its function. The unfolding is a choreographed, multi-stage movement, driven by a center-sliding mechanism that ensures a perfectly balanced motion.

When fully open, the display is a 4K MicroLED screen, available in 110-inch and 137-inch sizes. The use of MicroLED MiP technology provides deep blacks and high contrast while maintaining energy efficiency and generating minimal heat. C SEED’s patented Adaptive Gap Calibration works with HDR10+ and a specialized screen coating to create a seamless, low-glare viewing experience.

    Material and Movement

The construction uses materials that reflect its automotive inspiration. Carbon fiber elements are incorporated for lightweight engineering, and the unit is available with original materials and finishes used in the Bugatti Tourbillon. An exclusive Sculpture Silver finish is offered, alongside bespoke color configurations.

For architectural integration, the screen can rotate 180 degrees. The sound system, powered by Wisdom Audio, uses advanced planar magnetic technology. Its speakers are seamlessly integrated into the design, extending into position when the television is activated and retracting discreetly when it is turned off.

The project is framed as an object existing at the border between interior design, art, and high-performance engineering. “With the C SEED BUGATTI N1 we did not want to create a better television,” a partner from C SEED noted. “We wanted to create something that no longer belongs to the television category. C SEED is not ‘just a TV,’ just as a Bugatti is not ‘just a car.’”
