Vacheron Constantin’s 270-Year Journey Arrives in Shenzhen

The exhibition space for Vacheron Constantin is at MIXC Shenzhen Bay, a landmark described as a vital gateway connecting China to the world. Here, from May 31 to June 14, 2026, the Maison presents “Explore All Ways Possible,” an exhibition built around the theme of exploration that has defined its work since its origin in 1755.

The journey for visitors unfolds across five immersive spaces. It begins with an introduction to the Maison's boundless curiosity before moving into “Heritage,” which uses rare archival imagery and historic timepieces to trace a path from Geneva to the four corners of the world. The narrative continues through cinematic storytelling in a space called “Exploration in Film.”

    A Spirit of Exploration

The spirit of the exhibition is anchored in a motto written by François Constantin in 1819: “Do better if possible, and that is always possible.” This principle has guided the Maison’s expansion beyond Switzerland, where each voyage led to encounters with new cultures and horological challenges. The choice of Shenzhen, a city known for its open, diverse, and pioneering spirit, was a deliberate one.

This year’s theme also marks the 30th anniversary of the Overseas collection. Since its launch in 1996, the collection has served as the modern expression of Vacheron Constantin’s spirit of adventure, evolving in both design language and technical complexity. A selection of these contemporary pieces is on display in the “Exploration in New Horizons” section, creating a dialogue between aesthetics and innovation.

    Mechanical Artistry and Human Touch

The journey through the exhibition leads to “High Watchmaking,” a space highlighting the Maison’s achievements in Grand Complication watchmaking. Here, visitors can get a closer look at the Les Cabinotiers Solaria Ultra Grand Complication – La Première. Developed with 13 patent applications, it unites 41 complications in a single wristwatch, the most complex ever created by the brand.

The exhibition also features a collaboration with Chinese artist and illustrator Shan Jiang. His work, characterized by meticulous detail and a boundless imagination, is presented as an alignment with the house’s own values of excellence and innovation. It is part of a wider effort to cultivate a cross-cultural dialogue through the art of watchmaking.

The experience concludes in a space named “A Moment Captured.” Through an interplay of light and shadow, visitors are invited to leave their own traces of discovery, turning geographies, cultures, and time into a personal echo of memory and perception.
